Event Description:UNO will welcome Gerald Steinacher, Ph.D., UNL’s Hyman Rosenberg Professor of Judaic Studies, to present a lecture titled “Escaping Nuremberg: How Adolf Eichmann Fled Justice.” Steinacher recently published a book called “Nazis on the Run,” which focuses on the getaways of Nazi war criminals after World War II. In addition to Steinacher’s lecture, the Criss Library will receive an original copy of the 1961 Eichmann trial transcript, which is being donated by Sam Fried, a survivor of Auschwitz and Omaha resident.
