Event Description:Featuring Jose “Chato” Garcia, a Chicano activist, community curator, and founding Board member of Mexican American Historical Society
After experiencing one of Jose's history of the Spanish Presence on the Plains 1541 - 1971, you will come away with an understanding that the Spanish/Mexican heritage, family lineage and cultural tradition continues to be part of the history of the United States, that is deeply embedded in the very fabric of America's past and essential to its future.
Event is part of the Latino Heritage Month celebration. There will be FREE PIZZA and DESSERT at the event. Sponsored by Student Organizations and Leadership Programs (SOLP) and Association of Latino American Students (ALAS).
